Photography User Groups in Utah

January 27, 2010

There are a few different photography user groups in Utah.  These are great places to learn and network with other photographers.

First one that I want to talk about is Provo Creative.  This is a very unique group.  This group is for Photographers, models, actors, and film makers.  Each week they meet with each different group.  Like the first week they meet with the actors, and second film makers, third photographers and models. This group is great for people who are interested in meeting other people in the industry and people wanting to maybe merge into another part of the industry.

Second Group I would like to talk about is Photowalking UT.  This group  is directed at any skills level of Photography.  Usually they have a clinic before the photowalk and then use those skill and go a photowalk.

Third group, Utah Strobist.  This group is focused on off camera flash.  This group to is focused on all skill levels.

Fourth and final group SMUGS.  This is the Smugmug user group.  This group is more targeted at professionals but open to anyone.  We have speakers that often  are directed to professional photographers, we have talked about albums, email marketing, ect.  This is a great group for someone looking to network with pros.
